| If I want to use video, how do I get it into my computer? |
| There is a wide range of video input cards on the market. They also vary greatly in price and performance. The most expensive card may not be the most cost effective when it comes to capturing frames and grabbing stills only. You pay alot for the higher-end cards because they are able to render on the fly and can do other fancy things. All you really need is a card that will capture stills or short clips with the ability to save without compression. The usual rules of hardware apply: the more RAM the better, and the faster the hard drive the better. |
